Invite Guest Speakers from the Professional Community
One of the biggest questions that students struggle with is, “What can I do with my degree?” On the other side, hiring teams from companies are always looking for ways to meet and engage students in a more meaningful way.
To help students with this, we can collaborate with faculty and staff in coordinating and inviting guest speakers from the local professional community to your classrooms or other spaces on campus. Contact us to learn more about how we can work together.
Collaborate with the CDO
Did you know that we have an Internship Directory? By doing this, we can:
- Help faculty and staff promote internships to a wider audience.
- Assist students in finding internship opportunities with ease.
- Support employers in getting their jobs and internships directly in front of students.
Additionally, we encourage all faculty to share their internship needs and information with us so we can find better ways to support you.
Promote Triton Career Connections and Handshake
Tell your students about our platforms. Direct them to Handshake (they can learn more here) and encourage them to activate their account. If you need a refresher and some simple instructions on how to promote TCC and Handshake, contact us if you would like to receive a faculty toolkit.
Increase Employment Opportunities
Handshake continues to be the primary way of getting our students connected to job or internship opportunities. Spread awareness and encourage your professional contacts to join Handshake and connect with the University of Guam. Employers can learn more information here.
