What is FEMA?
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is a United States government agency tasked with coordinating disaster response and recovery efforts. Its primary responsibilities include providing assistance to individuals and communities affected by natural or man-made disasters, supporting state and local governments in emergency management efforts, and promoting disaster preparedness and mitigation initiatives nationwide.
Disaster Response and Recovery
For many citizens of Guam, the destruction left by Typhoon Mawar is a fresh memory. Yet, despite the major challenges, FEMA, in collaboration with many other federal and local organizations, remained pivotal in disaster response and recovery efforts, from distributing supplies, overseeing shelters, rebuilding homes, and facilitating financial assistance for affected individuals.

In an effort to grow their capacity, FEMA will be hosting a Hiring Fair in March.

What to Expect: Bring your resume, on-site interviews are possible
What jobs are they currently hiring for: FEMA is looking to grow their Logistics Cadre, a role that focuses on delivering critical commodities and manufactured housing units to provide support during the disaster operations. Additionally, logistics work on establishing contracts, and agreements with public and private sectors to provide further support.
