As the world continues to face unprecedented health challenges, there has never been a more crucial time to join the ranks of passionate individuals working to prevent diseases, promote healthy living, and create a brighter, healthier future for all. If you are interested in making a positive impact in our local community, you might want to consider a career in public health.
To support and encourage students across the nation to pursue a career in public health, the University of Michigan will be opening up their application for students to join their 10-week summer residential program known as the Future Public Health Leaders Program. The FPHL Program focuses on underrepresented college students and recent grads who are looking for a meaningful introduction to public health.
This program is a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Office of Minority Health and Health Equity (OMHHE) to address the shortage of diversity in the public health workforce. No public health experience is required and are accepting students from all majors.
The application opens on November 1, 2023 and will close on January 31, 2024. If you are interested in learning more information, view the flyer below or consider attending the FPHLP Virtual Information Session to get a chance to speak with the FPHLP program representatives.
