In 1987, the National Car Rental franchise was awarded to Keith Markowski and operations began in Guam with just seven vehicles. Although reservations were few and far between, Mr. Markowski worked hard to build market share in a very competitive environment.
National’s first big contract was for the Naval Station in 1989, requiring the National fleet to increase three times overnight. Committed to fulfilling the contract, National bought every car on island. Twenty-five years and thousands of contracts later, Mr. Markowski’s drive and passion to provide quality, uninterrupted service inspires us to this day.
