Position Summary:

As a Graphic Design and Art Intern at the National STEM Honor Society (NSTEM), you will play a vital role in creating visually engaging materials that align with the organization’s mission. You will work on various projects, including advertising campaigns, event collateral, social media graphics, and web design. This internship offers hands-on experience in design, opportunities to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and the chance to contribute to developing NSTEM’s visual identity.

Your responsibilities will include designing and maintaining brand consistency across materials, conceptualizing creative solutions, and staying updated on design trends. This internship is ideal for individuals passionate about design and eager to enhance their skills while supporting STEM education.

Responsibilities:

Design Development:

  • Create visually compelling materials, such as advertising campaigns, event flyers, banners, social media graphics, and web pages.
  • Support NSTEM’s initiatives by producing effective, on-brand visuals.

Brand Consistency:

  • Develop and adhere to NSTEM’s comprehensive brand guide to maintain a unified visual identity.
  • Set and uphold design standards for both digital and print materials.

Creative Conceptualization:

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate fresh and innovative ideas.
  • Continuously improve designs by incorporating feedback and insights from previous campaigns.

Digital and Print Design:

  • Design responsive, user-friendly web pages optimized for accessibility and mobile use.
  • Develop digital assets for social media, websites, email campaigns, and print materials for events.
  • UX design, video editor,

Skill Development and Innovation:

  • Stay informed about the latest trends in design and user experience.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to share ideas and encourage continuous learning.

Feedback Integration:

  • Use feedback from past projects to guide new designs and maximize their impact.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program focused on Graphic Design, Art, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in graphic design and a passion for creativity.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Canva, Envato).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and present ideas.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and web design principles is a plus.
