House Committee on Natural Resources

Overview

Would you like the unique opportunity to travel to the heart and seat of our nation’s capital to gain insight into the inner workings of legislative processes and policymaking? Are you passionate about how our country protects and preserves its natural resources? Are you concerned about how the US manages Indian land and US Territories?

The Democratic Committee on Natural Resources offers paid, full-time internships for students during the academic school year.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with administrative duties
  • Assist with legislative and policy projects
  • Research legislation, regulations, and public law
  • Assist with communications and outreach
  • Respond to requests for information
  • Attend briefings, meetings, and hearings on behalf of staff

This position is based in Washington, DC where interns are expected to work in office when Congress is in session*. Position comes with a $3,200 monthly stipend with transit benefits.

Please Note: This internship takes place off island and thus may greatly impact your attendance for the academic year. If you would like to pursue this opportunity, please speak with your school’s academic advisor before submitting your application materials.
